In the time between hunting, tending to the chickens, and keeping his household safe, Cougar finds himself with hours to spare. If he lets his mind go idle, it turns to thoughts of burning helicopters and planes, or bullets in people who don't deserve them. It's why Cougar either tries to stay busy or tries to stay in the zone he knows he can slip into, when the world falls away.

Today, that zone is far from him, so it's better now to keep his hands busy. He finds a commotion at the inn and clears his throat to get the boy's attention before gesturing to all of his movements. "Need help?"
