"Understood," he says with a curt nod. Until proven otherwise though, Steve intends to regard these 'Observer' individuals as humans. Granted whatever situation they are in is definitely strange and out of context from anything he has encountered in the past, it is not so far out of line that it could not have been orchestrated on earth by humans. It's not that he won't keep an open mind to the possibility, or underestimate those who trapped him here, but at the same time, he's not going to make them into something they're not. Or something that's perceived more difficult to deal with. His experience has taught him not to make things more complicated than they need to be.
"I was hoping that there might be star-charts available somewhere...?" Either way, at some point Steve intends to make his own but he'll need supplies he doesn't currently possess to do so, and if someone has already started on the task, there's no need for him to start from scratch. "I've got some experience with using the stars to navigate at night. If we are on Earth, I should be able to give us a general idea of where we might be."
