Seeing the house from a distance, Steve had expected he'd find people as well. The concern there would be what kind of people and what their opinion of him would be. That she's seems to be friendly, calling out to him and in doing so inviting him closer speaks volumes to him. She's not expecting him to be a threat, or if she does, she's prepared in some way to handle it.

Nodding in greeting he starts to come forward to speak with her more easily but when the dog comes running he stops and takes a step back. The dog for it's own part looks like a huge puppy that wants to play, but Steve's more accustomed to attack dogs. Turning sideways, giving the dog less of a target should it decide to attack, he's relieved to see it stops at Wanda's call.

Still leery of the dog, he looks up at her. "He friendly?"
