"Just being alive, I mean, it feels like a good start, but that's... That's probably more of a comfort if you died before you got here. And it isn't actually enough." He's gotten better about acknowledging that in conversation. Six months of mourning himself has taken the edge off it as much as this strange, surreal afterlife. "We need something other than just waiting here to see who'll turn up and who'll disappear. I get that." He still doesn't think declaring a wedding is a reasonable response, but he's mostly forgotten the original contention. "Maybe that's just knowing each other, I don't know..."
