At this point, Kira can only smile as Bodhi wilts, like there was some intent in saying it so plainly. Whatever Bodhi's recovering from, as with Credence--and he will, eventually, deal with Credence--he isn't going to get any better being handled with five layers of kid gloves.

Yes, it's stupid and wasteful to have an actual wedding--but he can see why someone might do it anyway. There are other kinds of thoughtless action than the usual panic.
