"Kate seems to be good about keeping us all fed," Beverly muses thoughtfully. A lot of people help her, she knows. People like Wanda. And that's good to see, too. Good to know that these people can be counted on in a crisis.

"It is, but not everyone will stay this long or hold a bowl for someone to eat out of." In many ways, people in her universe are spoiled. At least, the ones living in Federation territories. "The doctors and nurses would usually take care of this sort of thing. But I guess it really depends on where you are."

Planets like Bajor would find this sort of thing all over, but the Bajoran people as a whole have been through so much that they tend to band together more than some others might.

"As long as it's not going up, I should be all right." It would be better with a tricorder so she could see just how high her fever really is, but as long as it doesn't go up, she won't be too terribly worried. She'll be more pleased if it drops before too long. Too much of a steady fever can be just as damaging as a high one. "You're doing wonderfully.
