Ned lets in small trickles of water, sip by sip, holding each in his mouth for a few seconds before using the liquid to dampen his dry throat. He's somehow aware of not overdoing it, knowing that when a person's gone without hydration for a period of time, they can often make themselves sick by gulping it down by the sea's worth, so after a handful of small sips, he lays his head back down, grateful for the difference its made. He exhales a groan as his stiff and sore muscles radiate their pain.
"I am grateful all the same, for whatever you have done and can do," Ned hoarsely whispers, the corners of his lips attempting a smile (and failing). "You are kind to have come, but I fear for your own health the longer you stay."
