Moana looked at the paper, her brows furrowing in a brief two seconds of confusion. She hadn't expected him to offer the piece of paper. Resources were scarce in the villages and paper was one of those things that they didn't have a lot of. Moana took it, offering him a weak smile before running the rough side of the paper against her cheeks. Most of her tears were already dried but it removed a bit of the sand from her face.
"Thank you." She sniffed softly, turning to sit more comfortably on the sandy shore.
