Honestly, Isabelle's pretty sure she could kiss Clary right now, she's so happy to see her friend. She also feels like she could cry a little bit, but that's even less likely to happen. Instead she holds on tight, fingers tangling briefly in Clary's bright, damp hair, like she's afraid the other girl might disappear if she lets go. After a moment, she pulls back, but her hands still stay on Clary's shoulders, dropping down to grip her arms.
"I can't believe you're here," Isabelle says, dark eyes meeting the other girl's vibrant green ones. "But of course you are, who else would manage to find their way here but you--"
She stops, brow creasing faintly. Something's not right. Clary's reaction is-- off. "Clary, I haven't seen you in months. This village-- I've been stuck here."
