Clary rarely thought about her Shadowhunter marks. Over the course of the last few weeks they had become natural for her to wear and she sometimes forgot that they were there until she needed them. It wasn't second nature to her like it was to Izzy, Alec and Jace.
Her attention turned towards the drying paper, her expression thoughtful before turning back to Jude again. He seemed nice enough and Clary figured she'd get an ax-murder vibe if he was really going to do anything strange. She wasn't defenseless but she didn't have her Stele or her sword and she was used to accidentally running head first into a dangerous situation.
At least her father wasn't here.
"Sure." Water sounded good considering how hot it was outside. "You think there is a place that I can get some paper?" To be able to sketch again, even if it's just a little, would be magical for Clary. Maybe they could do this D&D style and trade or something. Not that Clary had that many useful skills growing up in the concrete wilds of Brooklyn.
