She brushed aside the gloom, shaking her head as she forced a smile back to her lips. "We still have a bit of time before we must worry about the Winter." She would relish the warmer seasons while they lasted. "It seems strange how long it has been." She shivered. This world had become home to her, for all of its strangeness and danger. It was all she had now. "Yet we have no more answers than we did then."
