Sam shrugs. It's possible, because the name Stark isn't exactly rare. You couldn't go anywhere without knowing Tony Stark these days though.
It's when she introduces herself that it clicks for Sam though. He HAD seen her before. It had been in a photograph, black and white, blown up and placed before a pulpit. It was at a funeral, for God's sake it was before everything had gone to hell back home, but he wasn't going to forget the look on Steve's face as they'd sat through the service. Sam had looked at the picture a lot too, but between what had happened afterwards and then this fountain mess, he'd forgotten the details of the face.
For a split second he wonders if he's dead then, but quickly shakes off that conclusion. There's no evidence aside from the dead woman in front of him. She hadn't looked like at the time of her passing though and she certainly hadn't been talking about that a few minutes ago. What was it? Something classified she was working on. Probably for the old version of SHIELD then or something like it. They were big on that whole classified thing and Peggy had been a member of it, if his memory served correctly. Whatever the case, it didn't follow to the conclusion of death -- at least he hoped now.
Should he mention it? It seemed pretty important. But how do you say that to someone? Because if it isn't the after life then the fountain isn't just bringing in people at random but also from different times and he's not even sure it's true.
Right. Now wasn't the time to space out. How long had he been standing there anyway?
He takes her hand, returning the shake to buy his brain time to think. "Sam Wilson."
