Cougar's been keeping an eye on the progress of people because he keeps expecting to see his team. They've been on individual missions before, but when one of them gets kidnapped, the others come. It's why they're Losers in many senses of the word. They don't know when to stop chasing after each other.

"Maybe it won't be simple," he points out. He starts to speak in Spanish out of habit before he catches himself. "Maybe it will be deep. Deep enough to make it difficult." But not impossible, is his implication.
